I have chronic lyme disease and now it is suspected that I have bartonella. I am taking 3 different antibiotics currently and have started with a new physician in February. The change in my symptoms is negligible and already the doctor is talking about trying IV antibiotics. How long should I try the oral antibiotics before going to IV?

Can you tell us what drugs you have taken to date?
No everyone needs IV.
Bart needs different drugs. Levaquin or Factive or Rifampin or Rifabutin or Bactrim DS.
