This is all new to me, but I'll try. I was diagnosed with Lyme 4-11. My primary put me on doxy, it has been 26 days. I have an appt. with an LLMD on Monday. It seems I don't have alot of the same symptoms..basically I am lightheaded quite often, sensitive to sound, generally feel like crap, and have trouble sleeping. I don't have any stiffness or anything. It doesn't seem to have improved much with the abx. I'm not sure what to expect next. If anyone has had or knows of someone that has had these symptoms, please let me know. I'm definitely getting overwhelmed. Thanks..

Sorry you are not feeling much better. Glad you have an appointment with the LLMD. Lettuce no how you do!

You might want to consider Babesiosis as a possibility... or the worsening that can come with treatment for Lyme called a "herx".

This might help.

26 days is nothing. Be prepared for a longer struggle unless you caught lyme very early. There are no shortcuts to the finish line unfortunately [Wink]

if you got a good LLMD you'll get some good insights. Even LLMD's are not all great docs. keep your eyes open and your mind open wider. This is a tough, tough battle. Don't fall into the trap of underestimating it.
keep coming back here....

i try to recall my first lyme net visit,

i thought i could find a cure and get on with my life... my "old me"

there is great rewards in early detection and treatment.. see the rash - get the meds..

but, many of us fall into chronic Lyme.. now it is about keeping your inmune system up and a long marathon of sorting out what has passed and what is to come.. logs are good.. your bad days vs good ones.. how, some meds respond and how some herbs/foods/stress all add up...
at first, i thought with this laptop and my LLMD I can beat this,
Now, i feel like a bobber lost out in the Ocean

i just want to stay a float, forget land.
many days felt like i was just a foot below the surface of the water looking up and seeing blue skies, and every now and then i get to gasp some air...
yet, i just had a day and a half of feeling good enough to go out for supplies...
YES...
it sucks to wait months for a few good days.

hope you have a calander of more good days then lyme days... be stronger then you ever knew you could..
