Anyone have real itchy skin without a rash? Is this a herx, lyme or co-infection symptom? I have treated with hbot & now 2 1/2 months into Cowden protocol [30 drops each of samento & banderol]. Ive been told tissue is the last & hardest place to rid toxins from. [confused]
Thanks & Happy Easter All

Talk to your LLMD. This happened to me and my doc believes we were attacking too hard for my body to clear the die-off, despite adequate detox plan, and we backed off slightly on the treatment. Are you doing anything else for detox?

It took 20 years to find out I'm not crazy.
New bite in 2010 pushed my body over the edge. Positive for lyme, babs, bart, and myco.
I am not a doctor and happily offer only my own opinions.

When I had high liver enzymes, my skin was generally much more itchy (no rash).

I agree with sbh93 that there may be additional detoxing to do to help with this symptom, and/or treatment may be too aggressive...

i had itchy skin for a month or so (i think it was after ceflex). it was driving me mad.

the strange thing was: as i got itchy, my neuro pain went away. when the itching stopped, it came back. i and my llmd dont know what it was.

I itched on and off for about a year. It was TERRIBLE! My whole torso would itch, and my scalp, and my legs -- especially the backs of my knees. I had a blotchy red rash that came with the itching once or twice. Most of the time, though, the skin looked perfectly normal.

The itching was at its worst during a time when my health overall was declining. I had lots of weird neuro symptoms, nausea, and terrible anxiety during that period. Once I got my adrenals and immune system semi-stablized, the itching went away... though I've never really known what exactly caused it.

Symptoms since age 4
IGM positive Western Blot (Bb)
PCR positive Spiro Stat (Anaplasma)
Suspect babs and bart

I had itchy skin for 2 years, prior to my dx - was just one of many other symptoms for me. I still get it off and on - been treating for 3 years. Don't know the cause. TS

the itching is from the nerves, not the skin, your nerves are being attacked thus the itching, you may experience nerve pain later...

If it's not your liver, it's most likely candida/yeast.

You know...I've been itching like crazy the last 3 days. I've been on a drug holiday the past week, so no real yeast concerns.

I did spend some time in a hot tub and wondered if it was the chlorine / dry skin.

Or else my skin is getting used to not having doxy in my system. I restart meds on Tuesday.

--------------------
Bite date ?

5/10 dx'd, after 3 months numerous test and doctors
