I've had severe neuro-lyme (+ babs and bart) for over 5 years. I feel sick with abdominal pain after eating (worst pain in upper-right abdomen), along with cold-sweats that have gotten a lot more intense over the last year. I'm wondering if my gallbladder needs to be removed (though a hida scan last year wasn't positive) because of these symptoms, especially from being on IV Rocephin for 9 months. Though I took Actigall during part of that, I didn't start until several months in, after pain started in that area. Now it's gotten to the point where eating anything at all causes this intense pain for a few hours.
Has anyone had similar symptoms to this?? If so, did you have your GB removed and did that fix the problem??
Thanks to anyone who responds!

it has nothing to do eith your GB, it's from your stomach (food goes to your stomach) and the digestive process, and that is also what causes your nerves to be inflammed and your neuro issues...

I have gastrointestinal issues as well, and it is really confusing. Lyme and Bart cause a lot of digestive problems and they can infect your gallbladder. I know people who had clear scans, no stones, and had gallbladders out that were diseased and infected.
I think the jury is out on what this all means...
Keep talking to your LLMD about it.

Try eliminating fats for a few days and see if the pain is better. If it is, then you suspect the GB.
Otherwise, it could be YEAST.

I started to have pain after eating last week. I had never had it before and it was going on day 3 when I went to my chiropractor. I happened to mention it and she gave me Zypan to take before meals. It seems to be working fairly well for me.

My severe stomach pain was due to parasites.
