Hi All -

I know that many of you use/have used flagyl. I just started it last night, so I'm not sure I could possibly be having a reaction so quickly - 15 hrs later??

But...

Ever since I went downstairs, and started my day, or tried to for that matter, my vision has been acting odd. I wouldn't describe it as completely blurred since I can read the computer screen clearly, but just maybe hazy-ish/strained, kind of hurts, sort of blurred...Very hard to describe, and something I've never had before.

Of course, the sheet from the pharmacy says - "Contact your dr immediately, but I was just at his office yesterday, and he told me I would have reactions to it more than likely, so I dno't want to be a major pain, yet again with another new symptom..haha"

Anyways, trying not to get too frightened by this, even though it's a first for me, and looking to see if other people have experienced this as well..

Thanks so much! [Smile]

I had to stop flagyl after only 3 days. Had severe nausea, worse abdom. pain, very bad metallic taste in my mouth, worse blurry vision, lower bp than usual, swollen lips. Just not worth the pain it caused.

Sorry you have having problems with it.

Contact your doctor.

A thought to add AFTER you check it out...

Toxins can cause a cloudy visual field.

Hi Bridge,
What you're describing happened to me for the first several months that I was pulsing flagyl. It is almost like your vision is cloudy/hazy but it's not. White lights seem to have a haze around them, but when you look at them directly you don't see any haze. It's not something that you can directly put your finger on but you know that something is odd with your vision. Happened to me exactly like that and now 9 months later it's gone. Good luck to you!

Paul

back2game - sorry to hear you had that reaction. tonight i will be on day 3 :-/ so we'll see how it goes. it def. does taste horrible - i've been swallowing it with gatorade followed by a peppermint afterwards!

paul - sounds like a similar response to me, especially being that you are pulsing flagyl like myself. one thing i wanted to ask you is if you had a straining feeling/eyeball pain too?! glad to hear it eventually went away!!

thanks again!

Hi Bridge,
I can't recall having any eyeball pain, however they did feel abit strained. I hope that helps you.

Thank you everyone for your input.

I just heard back from the doctor and he wants met stop taking flagyl for 2 days, then go back to taking it just every other day.

If the pain in my eyes worsens, then I need to call him back.

He left it at that, but I'm so frightened now since I see that eye pain is a ' very rare and dangerous ' side effect from the sheet I got at the pharmacy when I bought it.

Of course something like this happens to me...

)-; Trying not to go into panic mode..
