I've run a low grade fever around 99.5-101 almost every day since October of last year. I just started treatment so I'm hoping I'll run a normal temp again someday!
I was told it means your body is recognizing infection and fighting it. Your immune system is working!

Yeah, you're okay, If it's a low fever like that, you're not in danger of burning your insides up. Posts: 303 | From Pennsylvania | Registered: Jul 2010

Yes you are fine physically although you may feel a little worse. I ran a fever of 99.4 to 101.5 daily and finally for 4 years and got my normal body temperature of 97.2 back just 6 months ago.
The only problem with running a fever is that you will get chills and sweats, be more fatigued, and more achy. Most likely this will pass when the herx (cytokine) reaction dies down.
Take care, Lindsay
