I'm on doxy and flagyl, working my way up to the full dose.

I just started the flagyl two days ago. Yesterday, a few hours after my morning dose, I developed a very uncomfortable lower back/side/abdominal pain which I used to get all the time in high school! I haven't felt this particular pain in years, so that was interesting. It resolved by the evening and was helped by a combination of rest, massage, and topical magnesium.

Anyway, on to my question --

I noticed something when I was taking biaxin last spring and it seems to be happening again with the flagyl. When I wake up in the morning, I will feel some pain in my joints which pretty much goes away by the time I'm up and out of bed.

This morning I felt discomfort in my hands and a few of my fingers, as well as one of my knees. I went back to sleep and when I got up to start my day the pain was pretty much gone.

I'm just curious if anyone else gets this, or has any ideas as to why it would hurt in the AM but not throughout the day. I almost wish it would stick around until I'm fully awake so I could better keep track of what hurts and how badly.

I assume I should take all of this to meant that the flagyl is hitting something... it seems to be doing more for me than the doxy was, at least.

The Flagyl hits the cyst form... so that is good.

Lyme arthritis and other forms of arthritis are worse in the mornings.

up for more input! [Smile]
