I was going to a NP. She tested for Lyme and it came back neg and wouldnt believe me that it isnt a perfect test.
After several very expensive tests for other things, we made a deal. I would get a cat scan (no insurance)for possible stroke, if she would give me antibiotics for lyme disease. She gave me 10 days of doxy... I immediately improved and then no change... after 10 days she wouldnt refill it. I could not get a reasonable appointment with her supervising doc.
so I went to a different doc. He gave me 30 days worth of the same med. I am seeing slow improvement. I am on week 3 and am seeing some exacerbation of my longest most troublesome symptom now... He feels like my neruropathy on my L side is something else (fibromyalgia) and plans to discontinue meds after the 30 days. He is convinced that I do have lyme disease but combined with maybe FM or something else.
I have no insurance... where do I go from here? I think that the doc I am seeing now would be open to suggestions.
I still have a neuro appointment set up for the end of the month that the NP, I started out with insisted on. Do I keep that or canecel it?
This either hit suddenly or I am just so busy that I didnt notice symptoms creeping up on me. It hit during a time of extreme stress
thanks

Hi..sorry to hear you are unwell. I suggest you find an LLMD quickly. There is one in MO. Go to "seeking a doctor."
Most LLMD's believe Fibromyalgia is lyme...they are the same disease.

Fibromyalgia has a CAUSE and it's usually LYME or another infection. I was misdiagnosed for more than 20 yrs with FM. Had Lyme for 42 yrs before getting treatment.
Many Lyme patients have "one sided" pain or other symptoms.
I will PM you with some valuable information.

Yes, you get better then worse and up and down and all around, etc, etc. That will go on for some time, but eventually it will taper off and you'll start making progress.
Like bcb1200 said--see a LLMD immediately if you want to get treated properly and get rid of this disease.
This disease is nothing to play around with. See a LLMD asap. There's one in MO. Go to "Seeking Doctors" and get his name. I'm sure Lymetoo already sent it to you.
