My LLMD has suggested I take an herbal mix (FC-Cidal) which contains Artemisia. I heard somewhere that it has been linked to cancer. Has anyone heard that and if so, is there any research to back it up?

I haven't heard that. I can tell you I took artemisnin therapy through my doc along with treatment for babesia. I took 200 mg-500mg. It is strong stuff. I took it (pulsing) for 3 months. Herxed like crazy. I don't know it if helped or not. I am still on babesia treatment a year and a half later. I am much, much better, though.

Artemisia or artemisinin (a condensed version) are a necessity to get rid of babesiosis. I took artemisinin daily for nearly a year and it worked for me.

In April it was 6 years since I completed my lyme treatment and I am still symptom free, enjoying my life.

I can't imagine Dr. Burrascano requiring it and my lyme doctor prescribing it and all the other lyme docs prescribing it if it caused cancer. Let alone it being sold over the counter at health food stores, etc. You'd have to show some proof of that.

TF--I am so happy for you that your are symptom free. Life is that much sweeter on the other side of treatment but is a long journey.
