Been treating the babs with high dose mepron/biaxin, art, and bactrim ds.

Not sure what's going on. So, please chime in.

The last three nights been having some sweats. Not drenching like the classic definition. However just making the back of my hair damp.

Keep in mind that Im starting to go through menapuase as my cycle is irregular.

No fever, fatigue. I also have seasonal asthma which is causing me to use the inhaler yesterday. It was high pollen level.

Also just started Augmentin XR yesterday making me tired.

Any suggestions would be great. Janice

This is a question I would like to know also. Same thing has been going on with me. I started treating Babs and 3 weeks in had to use an inhaler. I NEVER had seasonal asthma before but was diagnosed from this episode. I would like to hear if other people had an increase in asthma/allergies while treating Babs.

After trying to work on my chronic lyme (12 yrs) with a natural garlic supplement (Allimed) my asthma is uncontrollable. In the past I would only need the inhalers once or twice a year. Now I could use them every 6 hours and still feel like I cannot get enough air. Whats up with that? I am starting with a new Doc. in a few weeks, but am really scared to try the antibiotics again, what will that do to the asthma? Good Luck

Herb from which asthma meds used to be made: Grindelia

Also lobelia, coleus forshkohlii support the relaxing and opening of bronchial airways

GAIA Herbs Breathe Naturally has all the above herbs, also green tea so if you are concerned about the caffeine then:

HerbPharm Calm Breath has no caffeine

GAIA HErbs Respiratory Defense is supportive as anti-viral, anti-bacterial and targets the lungs, contains grindelia and other bronchodilating herbs. It's best not to take echinacea (in this formula) more than 10 days wtihout taking a 2 week break before starting again.

I'm taking the above formula during babesia treatment and have found it has helped to bring my energy levels up quite a bit, without being stimulating per se. To take echinacea as lymph cleanser during herxing is probably a wise idea. Again remember to take 2 weeks off after taking it for 10 days on.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes, CI
