seems they treat chronic lyme and co-infections? would it be worth a shot? i have insurance but cannot really afford to go to an LLMD that doesn't take insurance at the moment.

You should call and find out what blood tests/criteria they use to diagnose. What lab they use will say alot as to whether they are lyme literate.

good luck but i live in R.I. and i wouldnt bother. there not LLMD's. there ID Dr.'s
the fact that they even mention neurologoists and reum's should tip u off.

No one here said they ever seen anyone at this hospital, so no one can tell you if they are any good at treating Lyme.

thats not good either steve1906. and yes i have seen Dr.s that were assiociated with the women who headed the Lyme clinic 3 years ago.......he was an ID Dr. who helped me get to the state i was to become before getting proper treatment.
do research on the Dr.s mentioned in the south county hospital and you tell me if you'de want to see them for chronic lyme.

here's an interview with the head of South County.....i wouldnt go, but u be the judge.
take special note where he says long term anti-biotics are not recomended for late stage lyme.

The reason I think KEVIN should go is because he can�t afford an LLMD right now.
I don�t disagree with all that�s being said about this hospital, and the doctors that work there.
I still think Kevin should take advantage of his ins. and give it a short. If Kevin doesn�t agree with there treatment plan, *if any* - he only loses some lost gas money with the trip to RI.
Kevin, if you do go, make a day trip out of it. I don�t know if you have kids or not but, RI has a very nice Zoo (Roger Williams Park Zoo).

Stay away! They subscribe to the ISDA way of thinking, and you do not want anything on your medical records that could influence how your insurance company will treat you down the line.

Nancy is right. Your insurance company would just love to have an excuse to cover nothing for Lyme, because you don't have it according to this hospital, going by IDSA view. It will hurt you. And also make you crazy. They live in some alternate universe that doesn't exist (hospitals and drs who go by IDSA rules).
