I am just trying to understand conventional medicine's arguments on chelation. If we could enter the discussion by pushing the amalgam question to the side for the moment it makes the analysis more focused in my opinion since that question deals with "how" metals are acquired and I simply want to focus on determing the load we have an the treatment implications on that load. So conventional medicine seems bent on the idea that simple blood tests without provacation are the only reliable determinant for metal toxicity. Why? Isn't it clear if we were to test the entire population with provacation tests that we would have a broad spectrum of levels and that such levels would be relevant to real, or at least, comparative body burden? In other words would we not say it is likely if A tests higher than B on a provacation test that A is indeed likely to have more of a burden?
Sometimes it seems their argument is that the alternative community will use an endless series of provacation tests and will claim that low levels are actually an indication of hidden metals which are refusing to come out. If this assertion is occasionally accurate then it might have some merit. But what does not have standing is that the aforementioned anlaysis and it's reliance on a dubious rationale somehow makes basic provacation tests unreliable.
Then we get into the implications upon health from increased metal levels. The evidence that higher lead levles shorten life expectancy I believe is fairly clear. I am not as clear if it has been established with mercury, but it would be hard to fathom it not being the case.
OK so we have taken two leaps of faith. One that provacation tests can at least show a higher metal burden in one individual from another, and secondly that the person with the higher level well have increased chance for a shorter lifespan than the other individual with a lower burden.
Third jump is whether chelation therapy actually lowers the metal burden. There seems to be strong, and perhaps irrefutable evidence that it does both in excretion tests and in comparitive provacation tests. But at this point we have conventional medicine saying things like "lowering the lead burden on someone does not prove they are likely to have increased health or longevity." The notion here apparently is that the damage which is caused by metals occurs at some undefineable moment in terms of the progression of the exposure, and that such damage cannot be ameliorated therafter. This would seem to be in contradiction to observable facts to the contrary in terms of amelioration, but it is also a release of responsiblity for conventional medicine to show when such irreversible damage actualy occurs.
Sorry if this is a little lengthy

Body joints full of mercury don't last and function as long -- that we know for sure.
The heart that contains 22,000 times (research) the amount of mercury compared to a healthy heart undoubtedly will give out at an earlier age than a clean heart. Cells die.
A lung full of toxic metals of any kind will not serve the body into aging, especially if the heart has trouble pumping. Cells die.
We all have heard of the damage mercury attracted to lipids of the brain eventually cause as we age while adding more of the same destroying the tissue, our organs, reducing oxygenation permitting pathogens to move in to start running the show and our life.
Conventional medicine is clearly missing the boat. But the above well established facts keeps conventional medicine building more and more hospital palaces, while the rest of the world slowly runs out of funds going bankrupt.
But if we start using common sense and start unloading the toxins, the chances of returning to good health are good. I have done it and am in my 80th year of life.
Take care.
P.S. If we have stressed our body for too many years with toxic overload and have become allergic to the toxins, all bets are off. They won't come out until we correct the dysregulation/remove the allergies from the DNA. It's easy and almost painfree with AI.
