I live in NJ and just recieved my kit from Igenex labs for blood work....

they told me I need to find a lab that will draw it for me....

does anyone know which labs in NJ does this?

I thought it was odd that they dont have some sort of referral program to let me know what labs they have delt with ....but they dont....

Im going to my doctor tommorrow and im sure he will sign off on the test....he is pretty open minded....
I just need to know where to go to have it done...
thanks

I don't live in NJ, I live in PA, but I had by blood drawn for Igenex at my local hospital lab.

You could call your local outpatient lab and ask them if they can draw this, prepare the blood, and Fedex it out the same day to Igenex....tell them you have a prepaid fedex envelope and label.

The instructions for the lab are included in the kit.

It is best to have your blood drawn on a Monday or Tuesday morning, so that it will reach Igenex via 2 day fedex before the weekend. (so the blood does not sit over the weekend.)

Make sure your Dr orders test #188 and #189, western blot IgG and IgM for Lyme.

Also, I see that you have an identical post on the board that you could delete to avoid confusion.

To do this, just go to the other post where there are no replies yet, and look for the little paper and pencil icon at the top of your post.

Click on it and then look for the little box on the left that say Delete Post...click on it to check the box, then scroll down and click on Edit post...this should delete that other post...just don't delete this one. [Smile]

That is the Western Blot IgG and IgM. Looks for antibodies to the Lyme spirochetes.
