I got rid of lyme by taking amoxicillin. Took 1500 mg three times per day plus probinecid.

Added flagyl the last 2 months to kill cyst form.

It worked for me. 6 years since I completed my treatment and still doing fine!

Unless you're one of the unlucky ones allergic to it, amoxy is an easy med and one of my favorites.

It's also cheap!

I took ten 875mg pills twice a day. Took zitho and tinidazole, 1,500 along with it too. High doses pass the BBB best.

I was just prescribed this a few days ago.

I see that it is bacterialcidal vs. bacterialstatic.

Does anybody know what form of Lyme it kills?

Spirochete form on blood.
You have to take something for cyst form (flagyl or Tindamax).

this is not a misprint:

i took 10 875mg morning and night for 1 year

also at same time 1000mg zith

then the next year i pulsed same dose of amox and biaxin(forget that dose)

then one year detx/yeast etc

got me out of bed, back to work, 80% better

needed lot of probiotics and antifungals

I did experiment with Amoxy big time.

I had tinny little herx on dose 3 g/day.
Later every weak I had increased the dose by a gram or two. Each time there was an additional herx. I went up to 27 g/day for a few weeks.

Still was not cured, although I am sure that many bugs had been killed and some improvement achieved.

Amoxy cannot kill anything other than spirochete so the Bb infection will go on. Posts: 1538 | From Planet Earth | Registered: Jan 2005 | IP: Logged | Report this post to a Moderator

Thanks everyone very informative and much less scared about the dosage prescribed to me. I'm taking it with Probenecid and biaxin and plaquenil and I need to add in mepron soon too.

So I think I should be covered for almost everything lol

Wow, I am doing 2 g 3 x a day, 5 days a week IV, I didn't realize this was such a high dose...

Also FYI, Eva Sapi's newest research found that amoxi, in vitro (in a test tube, not in the body), reduced spirochetal forms by ~85%90% and round body forms by ~68%. So, apprently amoxi hits two forms of the lyme.
