had my 1st appt with new LLMD today. Seems to be a good one, but hey what do I know? - gave me adrenal support, and a script for Coartem. Anyone have any experience with Coartem? I have not heard too much promising stuff about it. I think his thinking is to treat Babs right away, and see if there is a reaction, since this is a clinical diagnosis so far. Took Igenex babs fish test. We'll se what happens. Ugh. This changing Docs is so nerve wracking. There just isn't a way to get a good feel for what kind of hands your in at the first appt. There's just too much happening. I was happy that he wanted to treat coinfections right out of the gate just based on my complaints....so far so good.

I've heard coartem might be good for dizziness - is that one of your symptoms??
It's good that this doctor of yours knows about co-infections and wants to treat right away so that is a good sign!!
(I sent you a pm too by the way!)

the doc is very highly recommended and reputable. He did exactly what I had hoped by coming out of the gates swinging at all infections regardless of the tests. I am just having some personal issues over going broke paying these guys. There's no saying that anyone can cure you, and there is no help available. I am poor. I can only work 3 days a week. I have been fortunate enough to scrape together just enough to pay Dr.'s. I wonder what ahppens to people that are even worse off than me...There must be a lot of suffering folks out there. It drives me nuts. Its like getting punched in the face (contracting Lyme) and then getting kicked in the groin (paying the bill o.o.p.)

I really like my last LLMD, but I just got the feeling at a certain point that I had gone as far as I could go with him. the treatments that were most effective, were the ones that I had asked for. I was getting the feeling he wasnt aggressive enough, and I had heard the same from others about him. He did get me pretty far though. I just felt like I wouldn't completely cure if I stayed with him. - He was a great doc though.
