Something tells me the little buggers are all dead.

Does anyone know of a way to proof them, like you would with bakers yeast?

Have you checked the expiration date? Has it been kept refrigerated? You could ask your pharmacist if there is a way to tell if it is still good.

Well, I was a little suspicious when I went to pick up the RX. The boxes of VSL were on the floor. When I told them that they required refrigeration, they regretted that they made a mistake and called the company.

The company said they could withstand non-refrigeration for 5 days or so. The pharmacy said that the boxes had been delivered only the day before and that they should be fine, so I felt good about it.

Then the pharmacist decided not to charge me for the 3 boxes, and I became ecstatic...until I started taking the packets. Then I became unsure of their potency.

But I do like the idea of calling the company to see if there is a way to tell. Thanks, Sammi!

Let me know if you find out.

My last shipment from the presciption service I use (3 month supply) TASTED BAD .. I thought it actually tasted "dead"... and it clumped up and wouldn't dissolve right.

The company (Sigma Tau) got involved and sent me an entire new shipment. They said they would contact the prescrp service and talk to them about how it was stored and shipped.

Next shipment from Sigma Tau was fine.
