I have had 2 strokes from my "thick blood" with this lovely lyme. Fortunately, I recovered from both. I am now on Coumadin permanently. All of my labs are normal and I have had no previous health problems ever. Let me correct myself by saying, my Vitamin D level was very low at 4. Hope this helps.

Many LLMD's will check for hypercoagulation.

bearlythere, My LLMD suggested it when we were not getting an answer from the ducks, as to why/clots? Also, my duck says you will be on coumadin for life- My LLMD says that coumadin is a OK add to the antibiotics for thinning the flow, and hence getting the Lyme thats deep and hidden where the thicker blood wasnt getting into as well with antibiotics... LLMD thinks there will be a day where I beat lyme and the coumadin wont be in demand.

I had thick blood. My biological doctor put me on Nattokinase. Brought my fibrin count down from 499 to 380.
It's much safer than coumadin and safer than baby aspirin too.
