(CNN) -- Radiation from cell phones can possibly cause cancer, according to the World Health Organization. The agency now lists mobile phone use in the same "carcinogenic hazard" category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform.

"What microwave radiation does in most simplistic terms is similar to what happens to food in microwaves, essentially cooking the brain," Black said. "So in addition to leading to a development of cancer and tumors, there could be a whole host of other effects like cognitive memory function, since the memory temporal lobes are where we hold our cell phones."
so-maybe it contributes to lyme-brain fogginess?

Yes, of course it does, at least for some people. It does for me. It also contributes to much much more.
Imagine that--microwave radiation doing something similar to what microwave radiation does... Yes, there is a reason the words are the same--it's the same!

May end up beig a situation similar to cigarette smoking... It's a big f-ing experiment. Sorry to be crude but it makes me mad.
Not only do cell phones track our movements & listen in to what we say (look into roving wiretaps)- they also cause cancer.
EMFs also may cause more active growth of pathogens... Cell & cordless phones may be convenient but there are pretty significant risks.

Some cell phone manufacturers, (if you read the tiny little print in the pamphlet) tell you to use the phone holding it at least an inch away from your head.
This is their recommendation to avoid potential risk and most likely could be construed as a legal disclaimer in court.
All they have to say is you held the phone too close to your head and therefore used it in a manner inconsistent with labeling.
Bluetooth headsets are no better. If you are concerned about safety when using a cell phone it's best to keep the phone at least an inch away from your body and use a WIRED headset rather than holding it up to your ear.
I would like to see data on men vs women in risk percentages. Men typically put there phone in their pocket or use a belt clip ect. Women, provided you can get them off the phone, Generally keep theirs in their purse.
Just teasin there ladies. please leave the voodoo dolls in the drawer.
