Since I've been healed and yesterday I had my hickman removed, I no longer have any use for the IV supplies and saline bags and antibiotics I have left over.

Is it legal to give them to someone who could use them? Can I sell it? I'm totally broke and could use a few extra bucks. But I'm totally willing to give them to someone in need.

Let me know what you think. Thanks. [confused]

What do you have and how much do you want?

Also, how long were you on IV for? Congratulations.

Thanks!

Anything you have that required a prescription is not legal to give to someone else.

True, but to be posted on the board, it has to be legal (hopefully, also ethical).

I've heard that some pharmacies may buy back the IV antibiotics. Not sure if true, that's just what some people have suggested to me. i'll just get rid of the supplies that didn't require a Rx. Thanks.

You can donate unused meds and supplies to a free clinic. They usually require that meds be sealed and unopened but I think some AIDS clinics are less restrictive.

The Oley Foundation has an equipment & supply exchange that may accept some of the supplies and possibly the saline. Check out http://www.oley.org/ for more info on how to contact them.
