I was wondering if you can experience air hunger with Bartonella along with Babesia?

My doctor started me on Azithromycin and I have been experiencing air hunger and high anxiety. It feels like I have a plastic bag over my head. [Eek!]

I've heard air hunger is a symptom of babesia.. but let me tell you.. if you can't breathe and just started Azith.. umm that could be an allergic reaction and its affecting your breathing sending you into a bronchospasm. I took doxy once.. same thing took place was told STOP!! Don't mess with your breathing!!

I get air hunger at times, especially on humid days. I find that when I drink more water though, it goes away within 10 or 15 min. I'm also on zyth.

Have you contacted your doctor about this reaction? It would be important to call your doc, and see if a different antibiotic could be tried, or what else could help you.

I've not experienced air hunger, but it sure sounds scary. The high anxiety isn't much fun either.

Take care.
