Yep... I had pain like that. I also had severe pain under my feet (think walking bare feet on sharp uneven rocks). I couldn't wear shoes w/ closed toes but going bare feet hurt too! The heels hurt when I lay on my back... it was a mess!!

My LLMD thinks it's Bart and Bab...anyway, I just had my day 14 IV Invanz (a week into it) I noticed 80% of the pain is gone. The toes area still gives me trouble so I still can't wear closed toes shoes unless they are the Uggs.

While I don't have as much pain as before, it's still pretty numb... so I'm anxious to start Rifampin. I'm sorry you're having so much pain!

Hey who am I to laugh at you Roger. I live in my Birkenstock! Something I swore up and down I would never be caught dead in! And now I wear Uggs and Birkenstock for goodness sake!

I would rather wear my heels but right now that would mean a face plant! Either that I'll walk like Frankenstein. Sexy.. NOT! [Smile]

Feet in constant pain but tolerable. I am on my first week with Bar 1. Not sure if it is helping the foot pain but I am less steady or a little more dizzy.

Close your eyes and put your arms out to your side and one foot in the air a couple of inches off the ground. This is a test often done for Alzheimer patients. I can balance fine with eyes open but only about 8 seconds with eyes closed, should easily do 30. Eight seconds is good for a ride at the rodeo but...

So foot pain yes, poor balance yes. My 1st appt with the LLMD 27 June, yes.

All the Best, MattH

One of my last remaining symptoms is foot pain. Mainly the bottom of my feet and my heels. Can't walk barefoot and most shoes hurt too. Maybe I need to get some Birkenstocks!

Sutherngrl,

I have a love hate relationship w/ my Birkenstocks! They are ugly as sin but they are the only thing I can wear right now! [Wink]
