hi, can people share what dose of tinidizole their doc has them on?

Mine has me on 500mg 2x per day (1000mg per day).

Is that normal?

Thanks.

I took 500mg. 3x a day. I think it's dosed pretty much the same way flagyl is.

mine has me on that much 1x per day. I took it for a week and the fatigue was too much to handle so now I'm taking the same dose as you, just on the weekends.

Does anyone know if this will work?

It makes the cyst for revert to the spiral form so that ABX could kill it. Hopefully you are on ABX as well? Taking it alone without ABX is not recommended.

I am pulsing it 3 consecutive days a week -
Day 1-500mg
Day 2-1000mg
Day 3-1500 mg

Also doing Bicillin injections 3x a week and Biaxin on the days I am not on Tindamax.

I have been on this treatment for 6 weeks and still feel so awful.

I've taken 38 day cycles. Days 1-14: 1 gram tetracycline BID (sometimes all 25 days). Days 26-28: 2 grams tinidazole QD.

Then off abx for 10 days.

Recently I went on the Marshall protocol: days 1-25 taking Benicar (ramping up from 5 mg to 40 mg a day), colloidal silver or tetracycline as abx through day 25; Tini 2 grams on days 26-28.

This is day two of ten off abx. I feel better than normal, mind is clearer, too. SFSG, PTL.

I took 500 mgs of tindamax/tinidazole twice a day with 250 mgs of cipro. Cipro is supposed to help shuttle the other abxs into your cells where they can get to Bb and other TBDs.

6 months of that regimen got me to 100% after 18 months of other abxs could only get me to 80%.

I thought Tindamax kills both cyst and spirochete forms?
