I have just been diagnosed with Bartonella and was wondering what treatment has worked the best for you?

I am scared to death!!! Will my herxing be like Dr.Jeckle and Mr.Hyde? [Eek!]

Levaquin, Rifampin, FActive and A-Bart...and I'm still treating. Don't make a mistake like I did and stop a med too soon!

I took Levaquin for 30 days followed by Bactrim DS for almost 1 year. I didn't stop meds until I was 5 months symptom free because my doc won't let anyone stop meds in winter or if winter is coming on.

In April, it was 6 years since I completed my treatment and I am still symptom free, enjoying my life.

So, my treatment obviously worked for me.

I don't believe I had bartonella herxes at all. But, as soon as I started Bactrim, I had severe babesia flares every 7 days like clockwork.

Everyone is different when it comes to herxes.

64 dollar question.
Treating Bartonella is a different animal and imo much harder to treat than Borrelia.

From what or gathered over the years...
Rife
Photon therapy
HH caps (Houttuynia)
Knotweed
Cumanda
Red Root
Garlic
Boneset

6 months of Tindamax (500mg)and cipro (250mg) twice daily with meals worked to get rid of my bart.
