My sis faithfully flies up to see my LLMD with me. She does fine until we start to descend, then her ears plug. It takes hours until they clear and pop. She has tried chewing gum. But it really causes her pain....
Any ideas?

she needs to take decongestant sometimes before landing so it has time to be absorbed from IG tract - prevention. Good quality ear plugs worn during taking off and landing also help.

I used to get a lot of pain with this, but if she holds [ie. pinches together] her nose then blows down her nose, that should improve matters,
