So I had to take Cipro bc of a UTI. Before that I started to take Rif and Biaxin for the second time.
And before that I was on an abx holiday for 2 months per my doctor.
This is my second day on Cipro and I feel like I did when I first diagnosed 2 years ago. Every part of my body burns, my knees, my arms, my calfs, my neck is stiff.
Is this a herx? I am only on this medicine bc of a urinary tract infection and it's knocking me on my ass.
And if this is a herx can I combine it with Biaxin?
When I started the rif and Biaxin I started to feel like this too but not as bad, so I am so confused.
Im suppose to get on a plane tomorrow and all I want to do is lie in bed. I was a really starting to feel better too and the fact that I have never felt this bad is really scary.
I hate this darn disease. I really thought things were getting better.

You may be hitting Bart.. Someone just posted on another thread that Cipro combined with Tinidazole is a good combo.

I had taken Cipro in the past and never had this reaction ( pre-Lyme and co-infections.
I feel like it's hard to tell if it's a herx or if I'm allergic. It's been awhile since I had a herx.

I took Cipro with a bunch of other meds, so yes, it can be taken with other meds, but I'm not sure which, it's been a long time. I know Amoxy was one of them.
Cipro hits bart. You may be having a bartonella herx.
