What did you do to heal your tendonitis? How long did it take before it was better?
One person told me to take certain amino acids which seem to be helping.
I lifted wieghts while on Levaquin and I messed up my right bicep.
Any help out there?

I did get it, stopped, and after a short while all calmed down.
Now about 6 months later a MRI showed swollen tendons/ tendinitis in my right foot.
Must be a complementary gift from Lyme & Co.

I have tendonitis now in my left bicep, but I haven't taken a quinolone in over 7 years.
Can other antibiotics cause this?
My husband also got tendonitis immediately after taking Doxy and Bactrim for a staph infection, two of which I have taken shortly before I got tendonitis.
I was thinking I got it from Lyme, but my husband doesn't have Lyme and he got it after taking those two abx. I had Lyme for at least 10 years and never had it until starting abx's 8 months ago.

I tried levaquin and did not have any side effects, but I also did not see any improvement with it either. My best abx combo was tindamax and cipro.
I would recommend supplementing with magnesium (Mag-tabs), calcium hydroxyapatite (Solaray), and Vit D3 (Kal). I lift weights regularly, and I think these supps helped my muscles to heal following 8 years of untreated LD and bart.
Also, trigger point massage therapy helped tremendously to break up the adhesions and scar tissue formed by chronic inflamation of my muscles due to LD and bart.

I took Cipro, and it was a big help. One thing to make sure of is that you load up on Magnesium. take a LOT of Magnesium - spaced apart from doses of LEvaquin. Levaquin gets pretty high marks for working with Bart

Rumigirl. Mailbox is cleared.
Also, just to be clear, I am no longer on Levaquin, this happened when I was on it.
Thanks for the tips everyone.
