Hi Everyone,

For those of you who have taken Resveratrol (Japanese Knotweed), I'm wondering what your experience has been with side effects.

Like many here, I have a sensitive system, and everything seems to bother me.

I was using cat's claw and felt better, but it caused some constipation problems (if anyone has some advice about how to combat that problem so that I can try the cat's claw again, that would be much appreciated too).

My symptoms seem to be getting worse, and my LLM doesn't want me to take antibiotics because I had C-Diff last summer, so I need to do something.

Thanks.

I do not have any side effects with Resveratrol.

Maybe you could start out taking a very low dose to see how you do with it. Then gradually increase the dose every couple days if you tolerate it well.

You could also try taking more magnesium to prevent constipation while on cat's claw.

Start slowly. Many things can pack a punch with Lymies. I find it effective, but I take it every so often for detox.

I've had C.diff three times and I'm still on antibiotics.

Two drugs for C.diff are commonly used during Lyme treatment. Flagyl and Tindamax. I took Flagyl the first two times. The third time I took Tindamax.

I'm not trying to downplay the dangers of C.diff, but I hate to see people lose ground in their Lyme treatment.

I like Resveratrol. No side effects.

I'm sure my black colon was caused by the resveratrol since it's the only black pigmented herb of Buhner's protocol.

five years ago my colon showed healthy pink. During my colonoscopy two months ago, the MD asked if I was using herbs. (Ususally it's caused by laxatives which I never use, but he didn't ask that.)

Mine was not quite as dark as the second picture in the link below.

It's a benign condition, so maybe I shouldn't be concerned. Just don't like the idea my colon is now black.

The person at Planet Thrive told me that Buhner said he's never known herbs to do that

Thanks, everyone.

Marz, I'm curious--how much resveratrol were you taking and how long were you on it?

My memory is probably not accurate. But resveratrol is the last one I added in. I had worked up to two tablets 3 times a day.

I think I went through 3 bottles.
