Tested for Lyme
LYME BlOT:(LYME IgM WESTERN BLOT) negative 6/16/11

LYME PROGRESSIVE: (LYME G/M) positive

Also have 3 wounds on my face the test says Routine Wound Culture (Beta streptococcus throat culture: Result wound forehead.

I had symptoms of lyme for about 2 weeks then really bad for 1 week and now only minor i was originally supposed to take amoxicillian i didnt and now i am feeling better though i still have swollen glads and other syptoms but they could be the result of so many different types of medications and ingested substances i take/recieve and other prediagnosed mental deseases. i, to my knowledge, had lyme a few years ago and i took the antibiotic treatment and it went away but i was bit by a tic and immediately got tested b/c the bulls-eye, and i knew it wasnt ring worm.
so i go tested on 6/16/2011 the basic results are above the medicaation i am considering taking is DOXYCYCLINE HYCLATE 100mg 21 days twice a day.

any suggestions would be appreciated

Cant i get tested for certain antibodies i thought that was what was getting done but nothing about it. How should i go about finding

If you had a bull's eye rash, you don't need a blood test - the rash is diagnostic of Lyme.

agree

Do you know which lab this was?? If you will get a copy of the test, you should be able to tell us which bands showed positive.

CPAL - Central Pennsylvania Alliance Laboratory probably performed the EIA (= ELISA) test "LYME PROGRESSIVE: (LYME G/M) positive "

CPAL or Quest performed the Western Blot which means the results don't mean much.

i got the lab results as posted at the begining of my initial post and there was no bullseye, just pimple like areas where my hair layed. i pushed it back all the time, so i think the oil and my picking at, what i thought, where groups of pimples, turned into forehead wounds is def a possibility also i dont rule out herpes

but yea i got a copy of the bloodwork and i asked for any previous tests i had done for lyme because i know i had it before. also i get blood work done all the time so most of it is for liver functions and viral load (so my doc only sent me the last year of test results when i asked for only blood taken to test for lyme)both the ELISA and western blot where performed on 6/16/11 not sure of the lab name but it didnt really give me much info just a positive or negative i even told them i wanted to see the type of antibodies present but i just got a pos elisa and a neg wblot
