Friend with acute lyme bitten 2 weeks ago. Has had a week or so of doxy but there is some thought that mino is more bacteriocidal than doxy.
Anyone take Mino for acute or hear of LLMD using MIno for early acute infection?
Thanks much for replies and experiences

My LLMD says it's fine to use but, will not prescribe more than 300mg of it and just like doxy, you really need 400mg daily.
There must be a reason mino is not prescribed in higher doses but I don't know the reason. I'd say, if it is all you have in the moment...take it.

Mino should be an effective alternative treatment for acute Lyme. Typical dose is 100mg twice daily.
