Just wanted to let you know we finally found a gastoenterologist in NJ who actually has lyme patients and actually believes in it. Told us more than Mayo, Columbia, Univ of Penn.. I am very happy.
Putting my husband on liver support and some other stuff for his condition to get him ready to start antibiotics (again) and actually acknowledged that lyme can affect any organ of the body including the pancreas. Was completely supportive in helping us. He has children patients also.
Actually said that Lyme is very prevalent in our area (Jersey Shore).
OMG seriously (no not a snooki fan just a jersey girl), we have been to 40+ docs and this one was a breath of fresh air.
Only had one appt. but hopefully will work out.
If anyone is seeking a GI doc, I would recommend this trying this guy!

You might want to mention ILADS to the doc. They could use a good gastro guy in their ranks. Used to be one, but I think he retired.

Oh my, how wonderful is that???????? Hate to fly to NJ for just gastro. Maybe he can clone himself and set up shop around the country?
My gastro is a friend. He knows me but I just don't think he realizes all the connections yet. maybe I can help him be more lyme literate.
I need to call him, he latest suggestions are not getting it. Believe me I'm not where I was with constipation just 2-3 weeks ago.
But some bad guy bacteria is still in control. He likes my GI slooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww. I need to knock him for a loop.
I think I'll throw some freqs at it and detox freqs tomorrow which can make it go faster. Sometimes too fast, better than slow.

I also was diagnosed in 2006 by an Gastroenterologist that had Lyme. A Great Doctor, wish he hadn't moved out of state, He was needed so much in this area. Wonder if he's your Dr.

I wonder if your wonderful GI doc would do phone consult with my GI here? Latest medication samples of Amitiza and Miralax were not getting it.
I'm glad I had enough samples to make a decision before I filled the script. I had tried Miralax for months 3 yrs ago and was hopeful that the added med would work. Not!
I'm glad I only bought the 15 days dosage of Miralax. The old bottle had gone out of date and I trashed it. I dislike throwing away money.
