I have an LLMD but wold like to also get help from either a Dr. K trained naturopath or a Lyme literate naturopath.

I don't know how much experience the Dr. K trained naturopath has in treating lyme. She claims to have extensive training with Dr. K in treating lyme but I doubt she would say otherwise. She uses ART testing and all that...

I'm also considering an llnd. Have people had success adding an llnd to the mix along with an llmd?

thoughts?

I waas originally diagnosed in 1986 with a LLMD (a well known one) but now I only see LLND's. I live in a town that has a lot of good ND's so I 'am lucky.

I witnessed one of the most brilliant medical moments in my life when an "older" experienced Naturopath looked at my blood work in 2009. I had Lyme symptoms but he was more concerned about the "soil" in which pathogens can thrive. I had a low total cholesterol and low lymphocite count. Low cholesterol is "good" in conventional medicine, but cholesterol performs many important functions in healthy humans including targeting inflamation. He recognized an important trend in my blood work that other physicians who had examined my blood work did not recognize. And that is that my poor liver function was contributing to my low cholesteral and low lymphocite count. He said that my immune system had an army of soldiers with no intelligence agents. After more research on cholesteral and lymphocite production I realized how dead on he nailed one of the PRIMARY disfunctions in my body. Good ND's look for the root of the problem and that is why I will continue to seek there council.

I also think that good digestion is key to a healthy body and this is what ND's focus on. There are important immune considerations when you examine leaky gut syndrome and the role of diet. Also Scientific American March 2010 has an article about the vast amount of bacterial dna in healthy humans that is unknown to modern science. I believe this is the new frontier in medicine, not allopathic symptom suppression! Good health to you!

P.S. Different states have different laws about naturopaths. Colorado has vastly different regulations than say NY or OR. Not all ND's are educated in a rigorous manner. Some are not well educated at all.

I would definitely go with the Dr. K. trained naturopath. However, if he/she doesn't treat for parasites first (Dr. K. treatment)then I would think twice.

Dr. K. is adamant that in order to get rid of Lyme, you have to get rid of parasites first. If this naturopath is Dr. K. trained, then they should know about that.

I went to Dr. K.'s seminar in May and was very impressed with him and a number of the attendees who I spoke with. I think a Dr.K trained LLND is a great idea. I actually sought one myself many months ago and could not locate one in my area.

hope you find one that has a thorough -- more than one 3-day-weekend-training by Dr. K. -- hold on to him/her and don't let go. There are not many, because it is hard hard work.

This disease, the microbes in us,
behave differently today than they did ten years ago, and it takes a constant out of the box approach to keep up with their finesse to survive. EMF and cell phone reception! Bugs hiding in biofilm - it takes a thousand times the abx to make a dent.

Take care.

How do you know if they are only 3-day trained or thoroughly trained by Dr. K? The referral list on Dr.K's website doesn't distinguish and I doubt the naturopath would admit to not being thoroughly trained.

Knight33, you can politely "interview" a doctor and get answers to these questions. In order to be proficient, they have to take ART I, II, and III and these are spread throughout the year and good practitioners repeat them because it is not an easy thing to learn in one year. One course builds on the other. In Europe they are certified - they take exams hands on and have to pass certain tests before they can call themselves an ART practitioner.

Some take only the Neural Therapy classes and are on the list, but do not do ART.

Call them and ask questions before you spend your hard earned money. You will quickly find out - any one who has taken a number of ART courses will be very knowledgable in Lyme, metal toxicity, parasites, --- all the questions you
know how to ask.

Take care.

Knight...i am seeing a Dr K LLND long distance from NY right now. She did ART testing through the mail and I am waiting my results in about two weeks from her.

She compares all the supps, med etc that you are putting into your body against your DNA. Then she calls and sends a report showing metal, mold etc toxicity and which ones are harming you more as well as which ones you need to add or increase. She is higly recommended by DR K and she teaches for him all over the country.

If you are interested I will give you her email and website.

Ummm..ART through the mail? Are you serious? I'm interested in hearing more, but it seems so impossible. She does all phone consults? No testing?
