Hi all - I'll try to be brief. I know my 4 year old has Lyme - and who knows what co-infections yet. Deer tick imbedded for 2 plus days... Igenex pos back 39, IND band 41. Loads of symptoms - migrating pain, lots of fatigue, irritability and anxiousness. Bite occured May 20 in PA. LLMD appt. July 11. I'm terrified about the possibility of her needing IVABX to lick this (which I had years ago). With neuro involvement, is there any chance orals will do it for a child???? THANK YOU ALL.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Every time my 6 years old get legs pain I freaked... thinking it's Lyme disease so I can totally understand your concern.

However, after being on treatment for 14 months (12 orals and 6 weeks IV so far) I just don't think there is a way to know for sure if she will need IV or not. There are many people that got well on orals. But everyone is different so she could very well not need it. I will keep her in my prayers.

Thank you very very much for the reply. How long did your 6 year old have it before getting proper treatment - it will be two months for mine...
