I had an ELISA test from GP that came back neg. Then I went to another MD and they gave me a month of doxy and said they ordered a western blot. Today they called with results and said the test was negative. When I asked about the bands she said they just did a total antibodies and this was just a lyme test not a western blot? Isn't a wb done by a blood test? I know for sure that dr told me it was a WB test. We are going for a copy of it. Am I just misunderstanding what this is?

When you get the test copy, post the results on here. Total antibodies sounds more like an ELISA to me. The western blot has bands, as you said. But did they have you take the doxy before the test, as a challenge or did they give you the test and then you took the doxy?
Are you sure this was a lyme doc that did the second test?
