I have stayed away from this site becuase I wanted to forget this whole lyme thing. I switched llmd last december. Main sx at the time was heavy ear preasure and tinitus as well as body jerks and some muscle pain. He put my on doxy and a month later added bactrim....the bactrim helped to clear my ear preasure to the point it was mostly gone...
I was feeling better and thought that I would just need a few more months to clear things up...since the muscle pain and jerk were still around....then the jerks stopped and the muscle pain got a lot better....I had days where I did not think of lymes...again thought that a few more months of meds....
then I got a virus which had me down for a few days...then about 10 days after the virus clear all the sx came back....had some really rought days too....pain in the back of my head and just overall not feeling well...
I heared virsus made the lymes come out but did not know it would be 10 days after...
So is this commond to be well and the out of the blue start to go down again...
I am so tired of this :-(. It has been over a year now

Unfortunately, yes, this is VERY common, and I'm sorry you're dealing with it.
Last winter I was in a period where I was starting to feel better, and then I came down with the stomach flu. I went downhill from there and it took months to start pulling back out of it.
Of course, I'm in another downward spiral right now, not sure what set this one off.
The best you can do is to continue with your meds and see if there are any supplements or herbals you might add to increase your immune system, as well as detoxing.
And the usual, eat well, get enough rest (yeah right, haha!), and drink lots of water.

is it also normal to have the sx returned over week after the virus?
I am thinking about just stopping tx and just live with this...feeling like there is really no end to this
