I received a call Thursday that one of the lyme drs I had called a month ago had a cancellation and can see me on Monday!
I have been praying for that so I could get in somewhere sooner rather than later. Maybe it doesn't even matter at this point since it has been 3 months already.
I have all the symptoms but I don't even know for sure if I really have it. I had the bullseye but then had a neg ELISA test then just got another neg from what I thought was a western blot.
then they say the antibodies were neg so they didnt do the western blot?? I can't wait to see what the Igenenex report and the LLMD says.
The anticipation of getting to a llmd and getting proper meds has been so great that I have butterflies in my stomach!
I have been reading so much this past month and it is all scary. I can't find anything to answer whether or not lyme can actually ever be cured. Does anyone ever get to pre-lyme condition?

I believe there are many who achieve pre-lyme condition...they just don't post here anymore.
Bullseye rash is definative of Lyme, period.
Answered prayer is always a blessing.

Lexalou Your situation is almost exactly like mine, except that I have had Lyme for about 10 years.
My Elisa was negative so they didnt even bother to do the western blot. I was certain I had Lyme from my symptoms but they said I had fibromyalgia for the last five years.
I just kept reading and researching every spare minute. Finally got the name of an LLMD and made an appointment but had to wait three months to get in.
But my LLMD had a cancelation so I was able to get in the following week. So glad I didn't have wait, but just the same I was very apprehensive.
My. LLMD was terrific and I started feeling much better after a couple of months.
I would recommend that you take a friend to the appointment if you can and have them take notes. There will be a lot of information flowing and it's impossible to remember everything.
My doctor did give me very detailed instructions regarding my treatment and that helped tremendously.
Also you might want to write down questions ahead of time.
Tests are important but not 100% accurate. Some of the sickest people don't even make antibodies for Lyme as their immune system has been so compromised by the disease - thus they will test negative.
I think you have a lot to feel positive about. Sounds like you were recently infected so Lyme may not have really taken hold yet.
It's certainly ok to be nervous and understandable as well. I wish you luck tomorrow and going forward with treatment! Take care

Well this is good news! Glad to hear you were able to get in earlier.
As for getting to one's pre lyme condition...yes! It happens. MY MIL was pretty much where she was pre lyme until recently when she got bit again. She is doing well though b/c she treated it immediately.
She was pretty sick and I actually think of how far she has come when I am feeling down.
Try to stay positive and I wish you luck at your appt!
