As a person who is sensetive to meds anyone know of the most mild and well tolerated ones out there? Does such a thing exist? Ive heard nightmares about the antimalarials and some of the macrolibes. Anyone??

What can be an easy to take med with no side effects for one person can land another person in the hospital after 2 pills.

That's just how it is with the meds needed to treat these diseases.

So, it is trial and error regarding which meds you can take. Everyone runs into meds they can't take. When it happens, you just call the lyme doc and he calls in a different med for you.

During my years of lyme treatment, one med gave me hives. Another gave me intolerable side effects (could not eat any food at all and could not sleep one wink). So, it is just routine that these things happen.

There are so many meds to treat lyme that you can just go from one to another until you find the one or 2 that suit you. So, don't worry.

I had a friend who said she had trouble with all meds. The lyme doc just treated her more slowly because of it. One med made her turn slightly yellow. She called and reported it and they faxed in to her lab a blood test order that day. Sure enough, the med had elevated her liver enzymes, so she had to stop it.

So, you may be amazed at how common this problem is. Learning to detoxify your body is the best thing you can do to help yourself tolerate the various meds.

My doc had me eat lemons (4 per day, he said) and drink lots of water to detoxify. He said lemons are God's natural cleanser of the body, and water flushes out the body.

Sensitivities often occur because the meds are killing germs and these dead germs and their toxins build up in the body. Meds can also build up in the body and cause side effects.

Other detox methods are dry brushing of the skin, saunas, epsom salts baths, etc.

This may be all you will need to do to be able to tolerate your lyme treatment.

I wish you the very best.

Thank you TF. Doing the lemon water and Epsom bath. Like those methods as they are most natural.
