Yesterday was my first appt with the llmd dr that had the cancellation - Thank God I didn't have to wait a couple more months.
He looked at the picture of the rash and said 'that is a classic lyme rash'. So different from what my md said.
He initially just gave me 100 mgs of doxy, 2 twice a day for 400 total. "He also said I need the 'caplets' vs the capsules. I wonder why. I forget to ask stuff.
I showed him my first 2 negative test results that were ELISA and also a form of ELISA he said.
He was trying to get a copy of the Igenex wb that I had drawn for another potential dr at the end of August. Luckily as I was walking out the door, they were faxed to him so he called me back.
I told him I was on amox when I had it taken so he was surprised when they still came back positive. My results are below.
This dr has an awesome personality and we clicked immediately. He told me there isn't anything wrong with my brain and told my hubby to keep me. lol
Then he told his nurse to fix up a room in the back and they were just gonna keep me there and be his assistant. I think he wondered where I got all this wonderful information from. heehee
Oh the other doc had ordered an IFA test. Whereas this doc doesn't use it. I'm sure you all will know what it is even if I don't.
The results: IFA Bb G/M/A <40 negative ---------------------------------------------- IgM Western Blot NEGATIVES 18,23-25,28,30,31,34,45,58,66,83-93
He is also sending me for more blood work and also a brain MRI. He said I have neuro symptoms?
I knew I had lyme as I knew I had the rash and symptoms but for some reason I was still holding out hope that it might all have been cured early on.
I will search for what all these numbers mean but if you have any insight, please respond. thanks!

Band 31 IgG doesn't show up until you've had Lyme for a year.
It's good you know what you're dealing with and have a doc who will finally treat you.
