I stopped all abxs about a year ago because I felt back to 100%. My last abx regimen was 6 months of tindamax and cipro, which got me from 80% to 100%.
About 6 weeks ago, I had a bad cold and URI. My doctor gave me a z-pak. A couple of weeks after taking the z-pak, I started having sore feet and stiff hands and arms, which was how my LD/bart symptoms started about 11 years ago.
I had some leftover cipro and started taking 250mg twice daily. I began feeling better within a few days.
I know some people stay on a maintenance dose of doxy, but I did not like doxy. Cipro was the only abx that did not cause me to have any side-effects.
Is anyone here taking a maintenance dose of cipro, and, if so, does it seem to be working for you?

jason as you know I'm currently working with Cipro but Cipro always struck me as the type of drug you wouldn't want to be on long term due to potential side effects.

Sorry to be off topic..but what is the typical Cipro dose for treating a nasty case of Bart?
I've done Factive and LEvaquin...but stopped Levaquin after 3 weeks because my tendons were a wee bit sore.
I'd like to try Cipro next.
