Hello Everyone!

I have been searching on the internet for the past hour, then thought I should just come here and ask for Rhodiola experiences.

I took my first dose around 1pm, and OMGosh, the only thing I can say is I am feeling VERY strange. Not in a pleasant way, at all, lol.

Everything that I am reading says this herb has very few side effects, that lower dosages help with energy (Oh, was I HOPING!) and higher helps with anxiety. I was obviously hoping for energy, but most of all to repair my messed up adrenal system.

I also read that this is a miracle for those with exhaustion/fatigue and should increase mental clarity and concentration. Those with bipolar can experience adverse side effects, but that is not me, so....

I am feeling SO strange, but I will do my best to describe. I feel like I am shaking, but only on the inside. I feel like I am breathing harder, needing to take a deep breath more often. I am plastered to my pillow on the couch and feel like I could actually SLEEP, and I am having trouble talking, writing or concentrating. Almost like my typical herx X 10! I just feel so "off," almost like I am a little drunk.

I could only find ONE adverse statement where someone took WAY too high of a dose and it turned that person "into a monster." Go figure.

I did take it a little late. Heard that it works best first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I did not eat for several hours before I took the first dose. I am not sure what is happening here, but I am not comfortable with the way I feel at all. It is difficult to describe, like I said.

Highly disappointed, too, if I am unable to give this a good try, because I was SO hoping for something to snap me out of this debilitating fatigue that I have had for YEARS. Lord knows I have tried everything else.

Any feedback for me?

Best Wishes,

Okay. From what I am reading, I think I may have just taken to much for me to handle.

The pills look like gel or liquid inside, so I don't know if I can cut them in half or not. I might try half the dose tomorrow morning and see how it goes. Good thing I have no plans for this week end, so I can see if this is going to work for me or not.

I can't wait for this strange feeling to pass, though. Really not liking it at all! [Frown]

I have not had much of a reaction to it. My doctor told me to take it in the morning because it can act as a stimulant. I have not noticed much of a difference.
