I am finding that during sex I am having some pain. It burns and feels raw. No pain with touching my vaginal area. Afterward sex, I notice a couple little cuts. I am VERY dry and have no sex drive. I've been spotting blood now for 3 weeks. No real period. Could the Lyme be causing this?

Not sure what exactly is going on with you, but the little cuts can actually be a symptom of yeast infection. One can have these symptoms without the classic curd-like signs of infection.
If you have no sex drive, it is a sign that your body needs its energy to heal.
One thing you could try to heal the genital area is make a pretty strong tea with pau d'arco on the stove ~ simmer it for a while.
Then strain, let it cool and douche with it. It is very helpful for healing yeast infections, itchiness and that raw feeling.
Hope this is helpful.
Of course if the spotting continues you might like to speak with your nurse practitioner or doctor.

Could the lyme be causing hormone imbalance? Could I be going through early menopause?

I have had Lyme for at least 17 years...
my period was always regular until I unknowingly moved into a moldy house.
I went from spotting constantly to no period at all. My OBGYN suggested it may be early menopause at age 37.
I moved out and it is back to normal.
-------------------- May health be with you!
Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began. Posts: 2007 | From NY/VT Border | Registered: Aug 2010
