Hello,
Is anyone familiar with this test?

https://www.neurorelief.com/index.php?p=cms&cid=46

My LLMD is recommending it after a IGeneX test came back indeterminate.
I'm wondering if their combination of test types mirror what we can get through IGeneX and quest.

Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen,

I've never had this test myself but, I've heard most insurance Co. won't cover this new test.

I've also read it cost about $1,000.

Do a search on the name of the test, lots of info out there!!!

Good luck...

There are some good labs out there besides Igenex that actually take insurance.

Medical Diagnostic Labs tests for both lyme and co-infections. http://www.mdlab.com

They also show the entire Western Blot strip. Call and ask them to ship you a patient test kit for tick born diseases.

Stony Brook University has a famous Lyme testing Lab. They will ship the test kit to your doctor only.

http://www.path.sunysb.edu/labsvs/ticklab.htm

Ask your doctor to have the lab "report all bands"

Imugen tests for Babesia, Ehrlichia and Lyme.

http://www.imugen.com

Clongen is a very good lab. Call and ask them to send you a test kit. They do not take any insurance. They test for lyme and co-infections.

http://www.clongen.com

Good luck.

I am not familiar with that test. I thought preliminary studies showed that LIPS testing for LD looked very promising.

There were several web articles last year regarding how the National Institutes of Health thought LIPS testing for LD was going to be very accurate. I believe there was also a positive reference to LIPS testing in the winter issue of the Lyme Times, but it was still in the research phase in the USA.

Anybody have any new info on LIPS?

Jen, I had the test and recently received results.
It's done at Pharmasan Labs thru Neuro Science.

It was $450.00 without the WEstern Blot. This price only lasts thru July 31st. They are having a promotion to get their new test name out there.

I think it is definately worth it., if you have a good LLMD.

Jen, also I see you are from MA, would you be willing to PM to me who your doctor is that ordered the test? I need a new LLMD, as mine seems to have backed off when my PCP and Infectious Desease Doctor called the Neuro Science new Lyme ID test fraudulent. Mind, you these are the same doctors who said that if I had any lab results from Igenex that they don't want to see it, as Igenix is junk Lab!! I have positive results again on the Neuro Science test, but currently at a stand still and really need an LLMD.

thanks in advance if you can PM me.
