What are you taking at 5 PM? Anything you are adding to dinner, like spices etc? An antihistamine might help calm things down.

Mine does too, and I associate it with the frequency of meds. Some kind of reaction or detoxification process? But it only affects my scalp, not anything else. Very strange.

This is probably way "off-the-wall" but after I've been working outside, if I have let any foliage brush against my head, I sometimes wind up with what I think is probably chiggers or some other little critters on my scalp which itch like crazy and the only thing that kills them is that shampoo for kids with head lice which I think is called NIX and sold over the counter. Might be worth a try. Miles

i react badly to alot of foods so the few i can eat i rotate. so i am not eating the same thing everyday. I react badly to many spices so i stopped eating them all awhile ago.
i take apple pectin, magnesium potassium aspartate and adp (an oregano pill)which i take also at about 9:30 am with no crazy scalp itch. I also take a digestive enzyme with every meal.
i also am taking alavert 2 x day already
my first thought was it must be something im injesting since i react so badly to so much stuff at this point.

sorry to hear others have this problem but glad to know i am not the only one. I have been sick a really long time and super duper sick for lifetimes now and i never had a super itchy scalp before, especailly one that can tell time.
Just a thought...do you have AC or central fan that kicks on at that time? I know that in the winter, every night at the same time I would have an issue with itchy ears...in the end, it was that the heat was coming on and the vents/filter needed to be cleaned.

How is your liver functioning? When my liver enzymes are up, I get the sensation of crawling under my skin and especially on my scalp. Once the levels come down, my skin doesn't have that sensation anymore. I seriously thought I had some sort of skin parasite it was so bad at one point. I'm sorry you are having this problem and I hope it gets better soon!

I know you're careful with your diet, but there's bound to be something there that yeast like to eat.

ye well i am kinda stuck with diet. all of my carbs come from gluten free whole grain and veggies. I am between 300 -350 g a day. i cant cut them though it makes me sicker.
I know yeast can make a person really sick but cutting them would actually be worse for me. And i am already a big huge mess. really trying to protect myself against worse.
