Back in the winter my lyme made me COLD all the time. My hands and feet and nose were ALWAYS like ICE COLD. and whenever i went out side id just feel sooo FREEZING COLD. even when bundled up
now its warm outside because of the summer and I am no longer cold. instead now i am REALLY SENSITIVE to the heat. i sweat ALOT more now than I ever did before and the heat bothers me. I get hot VERY EASILY when outside and sweat alot. is the heat making my body detox a little bit more? what exactly is happening in response to the heat?
Anyone else have this issue as well?!?!!? Is this typical with lyme

I also have problems with heat intolerance, except I am always hot, even in the dead of winter. My feet & hands could be freezing cold but the rest of my body is sweating. Everyone else in the parking lot will be in parkas and scarves and I'm the one walking around in a t-shirt.
This heat wave is unbearable. Thank goodness it is supposed to get better over the weekend. I feel like I can't breathe. And my clothes are constantly soaked with sweat. I hate this.

Our daughter is very heat intolerant. Not sure if it is related to the infections.

UHHHH, it sucks!! I am always sweating and hot. In the winter I would go outside in just a sweatshirt and be fine when every one else was freezing. I feel so much better in the cold. I have treated Babesia and Lyme seems to be knocked down some, but I have yet to treat Bartonella and feel this is the culprit with my sweating, heat intolerance, and hot feeling.

I have this too. Try being in N Texas with temps over 100 degrees for a month or more now. Many times it reaches over 110. It's stifling and just sucks the life right out of you. I don't get all that cold in the winter, just my feet and nose. Sweat like a pig, as they say..or whore in church, whatever ya like.

I'm so sensitive to the heat and sun that it feels like I have a bad sunburn when I go outside in the sun...
When the sun hits my shirt if feels like a burning heat pad is on my shoulders..
I can have the AC set at 76 and feel ok, put it at 78 and I'm sweating like crazy...

My husband just about dies when he opens our electric bill. I cannot stand being too hot. (so, of course, I adjust the thermostat) And lately, I'm always too hot.
I never used to sweat, either. Now I get drenched with sweat-and it's embarrassing!
Just today I was talking to a friend about what a wimp I've become to warm weather. Here in Texas, we have a little too many HOT days!! Ugh.

Well it's weird... I can't handle the cold weather, hands and feet are always freezing and when that happens they hurt so badly! But the heat makes my temps rise to 99 and zaps my energy. So that's no good either. So most night I sleep w/ heating pad and fan on! What a nut case! LOL

Same problem here. Very heat intolerant. Go into heat-stroke fast compared to a normal person.

Yes, same here. Very heat intolerant and if out in the heat for more than a few minutes I find I have to lie down. Body just can't handle it.

Many lyme patients have dysautonomia. This can cause difficulty controlling body temperature and/or blood pressure.
Heat dilates the capillaries and lowers the blood pressure. When this happens ppl often feel like they need to lie down.
We used to keep our house temps at 65 year round. People would wear coats when they came to visit. That is gone now!! Heat used to knock me flat for days at a time. Babesia treatment made a HUGE difference. I started clindamyacin recently and the heat intolerance came back. Clindy treats babesia.
The low blood pressure can cause terrible symptoms. Extreme fatigue, depression, dizzyness, purple splotchy extremeties, high pulse, a need to lie down often and much more.
