Need to test adrenals before I start thyroid med (armour).......want to give mainstream endo, who may not do saliva testing on a regular basis, an idea where the best and reasonably priced lab for this test is.
Thank you all!

Zrt labs, but overnight the sample so that it arrives at the lab quickly. DiagnosTechs are not recommended. LabCorp also does it and insurance may pay.

Both ZRT and Aeron are good, but I think Aeron gives results quicker. My Lyme doctor used Aeron.

Thanks Whitmore and Sammi.....do you know if ZRT and Aeron require a doctor to open an account with them to order a test kit?
The clinical nutrionist I see can order the test for me but my insurance won't cover this type of provider......any advice?

I used Labrix recently, and Diagnos-techs in the past. Why are they not recommended?

While I was going the hormone route before diagnosis, I had many adrenal saliva tests, some using Diagnos-Techs. The DT test was inconsistent with any of the other results from various other labs. My doctor(hormone and adrenal specialist) confirmed that they are unreliable. The Stop the Thyroid Madness website agrees. You don't need an Rx for ZRT labs. Sue

Check out healthcheckusa.com. It's under hormones. Probably a lot cheaper than you can find elsewhere.
