OK, so my husband is on his 4th shot of bicillin today.

Has definitely been feeling just worse in general, not able to put his finger on exactly how, but did get some different weird symptoms like a pain that just went shooting up his body to his head, and new knuckle pain and swelling for a few days.
So we are attributing that to herxing and of course happy about that (gotta love that herx!).

But now we are stumped. He has had EBV virus come up several times in bloodwork (along with herpes, parvovirus, coxsackie, etc.) so all par for the course I guess.

So, the LLMD says his based on his most recent bloodwork he has mono and severe Vit D deficiency.

Now the symptoms are a moderate earache and swollen/sore glands on the right side of his head for 2 days.

So that could be symptoms of mono, could be a herx, or mono is the herx! And we are also in that 3/4 week cycle thing.

Has any had this/does anyone think it's herx?

Could just be a herx. When I was sick and undiagnosed the docs kept saying I had mono b/c of my symptoms but it was lyme. In fact, I believe its Bartonella. Does he have any co-infections?

Only co-infection on bloodwork so far was Erlichiosis and RMSF. But he always shows the symptoms of Bart.
