So I saw a user with the name BobDavis mentioning he had built his own Doug Coil using a downloaded Frequency Generator, hooked out into an amplifier, and the amplifier leading to a Degauss Coil from a Tv/Monitor, he said with all the specs it was nearly as powerful as the doug coil.
Has anyone personally tried this? I have downloaded a frequency gen, and have the degauss coil, i just don't know how to get an AMP with speaker outputs, I only see amps for cars and guitars. Thanks Posts: 20 | From USA, NC | Registered: Jul 2011

I think Bob's wife posts here sometimes if that is who I think it is.

One of the main builders of the Doug Coil has a CD explaining how to make the real Doug Coil. That would be better. But only if you or someone you know are "handy" with electronics and building things (and have a mind left to follow directions!).

It doesn't sound like the CD is directions to build the Doug Coil, but more like some variation that isn't as good. My 2 cents worth anyway. If you're going to the trouble of building one, why not build the real thing that has a track record?
