I have been on bactrim once a day, single strength for three months and recently noticed that I am urinating all the time, I guess this has been going on for a long time but never noticed since I drink alot of water, anyways, I read on the pharmacy paper that urine changes are listed as one of the serious side affects. I have stopped taking it since I see my llmd this week. Has anyone had this problem and is it a serious issue, can bactrim affect kidneys, etc.
thanks
Diana
Oh, I think bactrim is one of the best meds to treat my bart since I cannot tolerate rifampin or levinquin so i am hoping I can go back on it.

Huh? Bactrim DS (this is double strength, not single) states to take it along with ample water, which may or may not indicate a higher urination frequency.
