hi, it's me again. My daughter was diagnosed with Lyme over a year ago. Apparently she's had it a long time. She went on oral and IV antibiotics. she got much better but recently she's had psoriasis in her scalp that bleed. Doc took a culture and it came back staph. He put her on antibiotics again, and the staph infection is worse now. she finished the antibiotics a week ago. her head cleared up, (probably because of the topical he gave her) but now her arms, legs and her face has bumps and boils.
I was wondering if this could be another symptom of lyme. Could all those antibiotics she took have made her resistant to antibiotics and now she can't get rid of the lyme?
I'm very concerned about this.
Thanks, Gina

Hey gina,
Sorry to hear about your daughter's scalp problems. The staff is nasty and can be hard to get rid of.
I highly recommend contacting her doctor again and reporting this situation. He may need to run some tests to see what antibiotics might work best for her.
Do you know if she has been checked for bartonella infection?
The "bumps" can sometimes come with bartonella, but of course I don't know anything more about the bumps she has, other than they are "bumps".
Wish I could do more than "guess" here, but I do hope you will contact a doctor about this.

Thanks, I will. We see her doctor today. I'll ask him to check about the Bartonella.

The bumps and boils can be symptoms of parasites and the staph can be a secondary infection. I urge you to check the symptom list for parasites by googling or going to Humaworm and check the list there.
Do a search on here for parasites which can be considered a co-infection and also very overlooked even by LLMDs. Dr. K. treats ALL of his patients for parasites FIRST and Lyme SECOND.
