I just started minocycline per day about 2wks ago. Ever since i've had terrible pain in my neck and a headache that wont go away. I'm also really conjested. I'm not sure if it's herx or a reaction to the meds.. how to tell the difference?

I had a really really bad headache for a week or so and then it went away. It still makes me dizzy, but I love this med.

I took Mino last year and had a really bad herx from it. After the herx was over I felt so good. It can cause dizziness, but never heard of it causing congestion. The congestion could be from allergies, yeast, or just a cold/virus. Hope you are feeling better soon.

When I was on Mino it gave me a very bad herx. I had severe neck pain, headaches and dizziness. As for the congestion, it could be yeast related. Make sure you're on good probiotics.

chootik, I ended up stopping Mino completely - it was just too much for me. It works well for a lot of people, it just became too difficult for me.

Today is my 2nd day at full dose and my neck is horriible. I had no idea this was common. I'm OK on the nausea and tummy stuff, just more stiffness and fatigue that would be explained by herxing, not a side effect.
My sister, liked this med, too. I hope to get relief soon and it will pay off.
