Hi everyone, I did a search and there were a lot of threads with this symptom hidden, but I thought I would start a thread devoted just to this. Share symptoms, an what has helped. And also, how you know it.s related to Lyme and co. And not something else? As we all know if we ran to a doctor every time we had a pain, we wouldn't have time to anything else.

My foot pain was the first symptom of a herx when I first went on ceftin, and then, azyth and doxy. It started 5 days after I started ceftin, it was on the top of both feet, the highest bone on the top of your foot, with pain radiating down to the toes. This was the first time I have ever had this kind of foot pain. It accompanied, severe exhaustion and other joint pain, which has also not been a big problem before. My pain has been intense muscle pain, with hard coilded muscles... Interesting enough, when i got the joint pain my muscles stopped huring..So pretty sure it was part of the Lyme/herx/recovery.
I have cycled every 20 days or so over the past 3 months... I feel great for 5-7 days.... Then feel ok, like I used to feel before dx and abx, and then have 7-10 days that I feel like I am 100 years old. Most of my other symptoms come and go, but one foot continues to hurt. And started to really hurt along with everything else when I switched to amoxy about 10 days ago,she immediately switched me to Biaxin which again made me feel normal except this foot and a bit on the other foot.

Epsom lotion helps some, tropicin helps some, ice feels good. And an ace bandage allows me to get around better.

Is it time to go to a podiatrist? Pretty sure all he could do is a cortisone shot.

You guys have thoughts? Your foot symptoms to share?

Kuds,

I also have a good deal of footpain, and also tingling mostly in one foot. Some pain ebbs and flows, and other is pretty constant. It's all part of the disease(s) and it may vary as you treat Lyme, Babs, and Bart.

Save your money... Don't see a foot specialist and don't get a cortizone shot.

Some folks may recommend photon light therapy for pain management. Maybe a local chiropractor might have a cold-laser devise. I see your from MA. Is Worcester too far of a drive?

Also I don't think ice is good. Check out Dr. B's guidelines in the Physical Therapy section at the rear where if I recall said "no ice"
